Cisco Express Foundation Sales Specialist Certification

CiscoA Cisco Express Foundation Sales Specialist is someone who has a strong understanding of the value of IP networks in enterprise businesses and network designs that feature Cisco products, such as routing and switching technologies. As Cisco describes it, this individual can demonstrate the ” and knowledge needed to sell converged IP network solutions. This includes application of Cisco-verified best practices for these tasks and use of the various job aids and tools provided to facilitate successful network sales and ongoing account growth.”

This certification has a requisite, that the individual be a Cisco Sales Expert, having passed the 646-204 CSE, the 60 minute certification exam that covers, among other topics, the features and benefits of a unified communications system as well as the competitive differentiators present in Cisco solutions.

To be certified, you must pass either the Express Foundation for Account Managers v1.2 (646-363 CXFA) or the Express Foundation for Account Managers v1.3 (646-364 CXFA). The last day to take the Express Foundation for Account Managers v1.2 is July 3, 2010. After that date, you will have to take v1.3.

Recertification is required every two years, either retake the CXFA exam or pass a current CCIE or CCDE written exam.
